Saint Teresa’s story of her paralysis in August 1539 and her “attitude of gratitude” to God for the healing she received reminds us of the Samaritan leper who returned to Jesus, glorifying God for his own healing.
While St Teresa was sick in Burgos in 1582, Blessed Mary of Jesus and the Discalced Carmelite nuns in Toledo sent 200 ducats of silver to help the Saint. Her words of gratitude come to us thanks to the correspondence of Blessed Mary of Jesus.
All that comes from God is wise and loving. We have only to accept his will with thanksgiving and adoration; it is what is best for us.
The soul here addresses its Bridegroom with deep love, esteeming him and thanking him... what overflows in it is its being tenderly and delicately inspired with love.
I think that the “new song” which will most charm and captivate my God is that of a soul stripped and freed from self, one in whom He can reflect all that He is, and do all that He wills.
I am reading Elizabeth of the Holy Trinity. I love her. I want to live a life of Heaven, as Elizabeth says

Come into his presence with thanksgiving

The little one who was there under Mary’s eyes was creating and maintaining his mother in existence
