Quote of the day, 8 January: Hermann Cohen

Our Lord Jesus has raised me to the dignity of a deacon… and, I thrill with emotion when I think of it—at Benediction on the Feast of the Epiphany, He suffered Himself, in His measureless mercy, to be carried in my unworthy hands. Judge if I did not tremble, as I placed for Exposition on the Altar, the Creator of the Universe, held in my feeble hands… O, love of God!

  1. I felt like that attending Mass for the Epiphany. (Which is not tranferred here.)
