Quote of the day, 27 May: Discalced Carmelites

In a letter dated 1 February 2022, the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints announced that the Holy Father has granted the opening of the Process of Canonization (equipollent canonization) of our beloved Blessed Martyrs of Compiègne, following the request forwarded by the French Episcopal Conference, supported by our Order. This good news invites us to work on this Cause with joy and commitment.

The most important work is to demonstrate the spread of the reputation for holiness and the signs that surround these Martyrs throughout the world. I ask you, therefore, to point out all the places (chapels, churches, shrines, etc.) and groups where these Martyrs are particularly venerated; also, to point out any graces that have occurred through their intercession, which you have experienced and/or have become aware of.

All material should be sent as soon as possible by email to carmelitesdecompiegne@gmail.com to the attention of Ms. Claire Millet ocds.

Blessed Mother Teresa of St. Augustine and the martyred nuns of the Discalced Carmelite monastery of Compiègne, France were beatified 27 May 1906 in Rome.
