Dear Mother Callista,

I am writing to you on the express-train from Breslau to Cologne to send you my cordial wishes for your name day. I will now be allowed to spend the feast of St. Teresa as her child. Tomorrow morning I enter the Carmel of Cologne-Lindenthal. I beg you from my heart for your prayers for my dear mother.
