A priest has to approach God with a humble heart because he has received everything from God. How exalted is the gift of priesthood! A priest brings the invisible God to the people through the priestly ministry; he shares with them the divinity of God.
Hence, a priest must lead a life of holiness. God is holy and the one who receives Him must not receive Him with tainted hands or unholy heart. Priesthood is thus a call to holiness; priesthood is the radiance of Jesus himself; and [the] priest is another Christ.

As I, too, have a universal call to holiness, it behoves me too to be pure, as He is pure… I wish everyone knew a priest is another Christ.
