For the Christian there is no stranger. Whoever is near us and needing us most is our ‘neighbor’; it does not matter whether he is related to us or not, whether we like him or not, whether he is morally worthy of our help or not. The love of Christ knows no limits. It never ends, it does not shrink from ugliness and filth.
Saint Edith Stein
The Mystery of Christmas
Quote of the day, 18 December: St. Edith Stein

Reminds me of something I read, as usual I cannot recall by whom, “Don’t leave it to the others: there are no others”.
I’m unfamiliar with that, but it’s a great quote!
Yes, not an OCD, maybe secular, but so true and relevant to discipleship.
PS I tried Google: evidently it is not a famous quote, it hadn’t got it.
