At the end of January we had to go to Maastricht about our affairs and to Amsterdam at the end of March. We were assured that there could be no thought of emigrating before the end of the war. And we cannot possibly prepare today for what is going to happen then. So we continue to lead our lives calmly and leave the future to him who alone knows anything about it.
