I’m afraid I hurt my little mother’s feelings… Ah! I, who would like to be her little joy, feel that I am, on the contrary, her little sorrow…
Yes, but! when I am far from this sad land where flowers wither, where birds fly away, I will be very close to my beloved Mother, to the Angel that Jesus sent me in advance to prepare the path for me, the way that leads to Heaven, the elevator that should lift me up without fatigue to the infinite regions of love. Yes, I’ll be very close to her and without leaving the Homeland, for it’s not I who’ll come down, it’s my little Mother who’ll ascend to where I will be… Oh! If I knew how to express what I think, if I knew how to tell her how much my heart overflows with gratitude and love for her, I believe that I’d already be her little joy even before I am far from the sorrowful earth.
Beloved little Mother, the good you’ve done to my soul, you’ve done it to Jesus, for He said: Whatever you will do to the least of mine, you will have done unto me…. And I am the least of them all!…
