Prayer isn’t an easy escape from our responsibilities, but rather the natural way for believers to live out our trusting relationship with God.
We believers pray, begging God to help us, because we don’t resign ourselves to living by our own strength, isolated and alone—we pray because we feel loved by God and we can’t do without his love in life’s most difficult moments.
When we pray, we are experiencing our needs and our pains in the presence of God. Prayer is a cry of the heart, but above all it’s an act of trust in God. Prayer brings us out of our loneliness and makes us feel loved and safe in the hands of the Lord.
